Social Media Pitch – Client: Julian Greystoke, Freelance Developmental Editor

The Client

Julian Greystoke is a writer and YouTuber who recently started a freelance business as a developmental editor for fellow writers.

The Challenge

Julian has built an audience across multiple social media platforms and used these to advertise her new business. She had a lot of benefits to help her stand out from others offering similar services, and needed copy that highlighted everything she had to offer in a single document. We ended up calling this a ‘social media pitch’ to be shared across multiple platforms.

The Approach

I started by speaking to Julian about her business and gathering all possible information on what made her editing process unique for prospective clients. This included drawing attention to her budget-friendly options, as price is one of the pain points writers have when looking at editing services for their manuscripts. I expanded on the elements of a story she would highlight and offer solutions for, and the thoroughness of her feedback.

And finally, I included a link to her Fiverr account that emphasized how every order is a custom order and a fun link to a video where we can watch her edit a short story written by Chat GTP so writers could see her process.
